About Golden Unicorn Miniatures
My interest in dollhouse miniatures began in 1980 when I attended my first dollhouse miniatures show. I joined a miniature club then began making a variety of items which I sold at shows and fairs until 1986.
All mini making was put on hold until 1992 when I began designing and creating miniature plant and flower arrangements as well as garden and landscape items for dolls houses. My Mother was my inspiration. She was a floral designer and my minis are made to honor her and in her memory.
In addition to creating a variety of floral miniatures for Dollhouse collectors, I also design and create floral props for Model Horse collectors.
In the Art genre I have used several different mediums over the years, i.e., pastels, charcoal, oils, acrylics, watercolors, pencils, clay, with my favorites being oils and pastels. Several years ago I decided to try my hand at digital art, i.e., scale miniature book covers and prints.
